Humans

are Multifaceted

Maybe it's trite to say that there is more to a person than what can be seen on the surface, but that doesn't make it less true.

To really get to know someone you have to be willing to look past the mask they show to the world and open to understanding their unique point of view, their hopes, dreams, fears, imperfections...etc. The same is true for getting to know yourself.

I suffer from anxiety. I am a self deprecating perfectionist. I'm prone to rage. These are things I've learned to accept about myself. To keep those negative feelings in check I do yoga, go through copious amounts of lavender oil, and of course read tarot cards. You'd be surprised how much a little guidance from your subconscious, or the universe, can help shift your focus from trivial things and make you feel more at ease. If you can find that peace within yourself it is much easier to spread that peace to others.

In other words, you can take on the role of the prism. Absorb light and put color back out into the world.

I created this model to use as the central figure in my cards. I am first and foremost a 3D artist, so starting here made sense to me. It isn't anatomically correct, it doesn't have proper edge flow--it just is. Letting go of the rules and accepting the beauty of imperfection was a really liberating experience for me.

The figure is androgynous and faceless. It's my hope that anyone can see themselves reflected in it.
